Instructor & Program Lead
Teaching since 2013 · Accessible, yin & family yoga · Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Onika is an accessibility ambassador for the practice of yoga — spanning yin, functional accessible, chair, and family yoga. She began her journey in 2013 and has since completed over 500 hours of foundational teacher training, alongside specialty trainings in functional yoga, anatomy, meditation, kids yoga, and yin.
She is deeply invested in working with seniors, people with special needs, children, beginners, and underserved communities, and draws on her own heritage to bring intentional cultural representation into her teaching. Onika understands the nuance of creating truly accessible space, so every yogi can feel at home regardless of age, background, or ability.
Her goal is to connect people to body, mind, and spirit — sharing a deeper understanding of yoga as a path of self-discovery and self-determination, practiced in a healthy and healing way. She has led programming for the Rutherford YMCA and designed youth, accessible, and senior classes across community settings.
